Faces of Francis
Faces of Francis is named for artist Francis Bacon, who painted haunting, distorted portraits in dark neons that verged on ultraviolet. But his most famous work, the most expensive piece of artwork ever sold (until a 2015 Picasso auction), is a perfect Vilhelm yellow.
The newest Vilhelm Parfumerie transplants pistachio from the ice cream parlor to its native habitat: the desert. Make that dessert: a traditional Middle Eastern backdrop of saffron, oud, and papyrus gives Faces of Francis the mouthwatering richness of Vilhelm-yellow bastani.
